DEPARTURE TIMES

  • Ultra Route: 3.30 p.m. Saturday 31 May 2025

  • Short, Medium, Long Course: from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. on 1 June 2025

 

Article 1: PARTICIPATION

All persons aged 18 years or over at the time of registration, belonging to any nationality, are admitted to participate in the GeoGravel Tuscany (hereinafter also GGT).

Participants with Gravel, MTB and pedal-assisted bicycles are admitted. For the latter there are no intermediate charging points.

For organisational reasons, registration is required, which is done exclusively via the event's official website on the 'registration' page, which you can find by entering directly from here: REGISTRATIONS

Registrations will be closed at midnight on 30 May 2025, then reopen directly at the GeoVillage, Piazzone Pomarance from 31 May from 14.00 until 07.00 on 1 June 2025. 

The organisation reserves the right to exclude cyclists from the event who misbehave before, during and after the event or who they believe may damage its image in any way.

 

art. 1 a: REGISTRATION 

Registration takes place exclusively via the event's official website www.geograveltuscany.com in the 'registration' section.

In order to complete the registration, it is compulsory to enclose the signed GGT DISCLAIMER 2023

 

Article 2: REGISTRATION FEE

For all scheduled routes "Ultra", "Short", "Medium" and "Long" the participation fee is:

 

  • 15,00€ from 1 October 2024 to 31 October 2024 for Green Fondo 2024 attendees

  • 15,00€ from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 for GeoGravel 2023 e 2024 attendees

  • 25,00€ from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 for new partecipants

  • 30,00€ from 1 January 2025 to 31 March 2025

  • 35,00€ from 1 April 2025 to 30 March 2025

  • 40,00€ from 31 May to 1 June 2025

  • 50,00€ from 1 October 2024 to 30 May 2025 Promo Combo GeoGravel + Green Fondo

  • 20,00€ each person for groups from 5 to 9 people, from the 10th person onwards 15,00€ 

 

Each participant must download and activate the Endu geolocation App. 

 

The registration fees paid

  • are non-refundable

  • cannot be transferred to another participant

  • cannot be used in future edition. 

 

WHAT THE REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES

The entry fee includes

art. 3: FRAME NUMBER COLLECTION

GeoVillage, Piazzone - Pomarance (PI)

  • Friday 30 May 2025: 18.00-21.00.

  • Saturday 31 May 2025: 14.00-21.00

  • Sunday 1 June 2025: 7.00-8.00

 

Article 4: START and FINISH

Piazzone of Pomarance is identified as the start and finish area of the GGT.
The event will take place in full compliance with the anti-covid regulations in force at the time.

The start will be according to the route chosen:

  • Ultra route: Saturday 31 May 2025: 15.30 

  • Short, Medium and Long routes: Sunday 1 June 2025 from 08.00 to 10.00

 

Each participant is free to choose when to start within the communicated times.

Each participant must arrive by 17.00 on Sunday 24 September to be a GGT finisher.

 

Article 5: ROUTES

  • The "Ultra" route has a length of approximately 250 km and 5200 m elevation gain.

  • The 'Short' route has a length of 45.9 km and 890 m elevation gain.

  • The 'Medium' route has a length of 74.6 km and 1430 m elevation gain.

  • The 'Long' route has a length of 121 km and 2340 m elevation gain.

 

All routes, except a few sections along main connecting asphalt roads, are on paths, ‘grey road’s and secondary asphalt roads.

Each participant must load the track provided on his GPS device and follow it from the start to the finish in Piazzone of Pomarance. The participant must respect the track provided by the organisation and, if not, to turn back and return to it.

Participants are reminded that the track is completely open to traffic and, above all, is often used by walkers/hikers and other sportspeople such as runners and bikers. Respecting the Traffic Rules is therefore mandatory when cycling along the roads as well as respecting other users of the paths and dirt roads when cycling on secondary, smaller roads: GGT participants have no special rights or precedence over other users.

Mechanical assistance will be provided at refreshment stations. Each participant must start with equipment that guarantees him/her complete autonomy. For participants of the Ultra route, front and rear lights are mandatory during the night.

The participant must pay extra attention to all potential hazards that may be present along the route such as: bars, bollards, slippery bridges, low branches, potholes, surfacing roots and anything else that is not easily identifiable and/or explicitly signposted.

 

Refreshments & Assistance.
Along the route, participants will find help points offered by Shimano where any mechanical problems can be solved and where they will find water and products offered by Enervit.

 

Article 6: WITHDRAWAL FROM THE EVENT
The participant who no longer feels up to continuing the ride or who decides in any case not to arrive at the finish line is committed to inform the organisation of his/her withdrawal by calling or sending a message to the secretary's office (telephone number printed on the back of the front frame number). 

art. 7: RESPECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
The participant is committed not to discard any papers or any kind of waste during his/her ride. He/she is committed to respect the woods, meadows and trails he/she will ride along with the GGT and to leave the environment as clean as he/she will find it when passing. Any reports received by the organisation will be forwarded to the relevant authorities.

 

Article 8: COMPULSORY EQUIPMENT

Each participant must have a minimum amount of equipment during the trip.

  • Certified helmet to be worn at all times

  • Tool kit for removing the tire/tube

  • Spare inner tube (or tubular)

  • Pump (or canister) to inflate tires

  • Water bottle

  • Red rear light (for Ultra participants, a white front light is also mandatory)

  • Mobile phone 

  • Downloading ENDU App for geolocation to be activated before the start is mandatory

 

art. 9: RESPONSIBILITY

By registering for the event, each participant accepts these regulations in their entirety and declares

  • to have taken note that the event is not competitive but of endurance and of considerable physical effort;

  • to be aware that some route sections may be rough and require good riding technique and that he/she will have to get off the bike and proceed on foot if the section is too difficult for his/her abilities

  • to be familiar with GPS navigation on off-road and/or otherwise untracked routes;

  • to be aware that the route is not marked;

  • to be aware of the possibility of encountering weather conditions that may not be favourable but to be able to orient oneself even in such conditions;

  • to provide the organisation with the widest possible indemnity for any damage he/she may suffer as a consequence of his/her participation in the event;

  • expresses his/her consent to the use of his/her personal data, also for commercial purposes, in accordance with the provisions of Privacy Law no. 196 of 30/06/2003;

  • The organisers reserve the right to modify the above in compliance with the anti-coveting regulations in force on the days of the event.

 

Article 10: GENERAL RULES
ASD Velo Etruria declines any responsibility for accidents or damage to persons, animals and things, including bicycles, of any kind and nature, that may occur before, during and after the GeoGravel Tuscany (GGT) due to unfavourable weather conditions, uneven or impervious road surface, insufficient lighting.

Also for this purpose, participants who do not already have their own accident insurance policy are strongly advised to get one.

By registering for the GGT, the participant expressly accepts all the provisions set out in these regulations and undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the Organising Committee and, in general, the Organisation, from all liability and from any claim and/or request for compensation for damage to persons and/or property that may arise from accidents of any kind and nature that may occur before, during and after the GGT.

In the event that the Organising Committee or the Organisation should be unsuccessful as a result of claims and/or requests for compensation from third parties for damage to persons and/or property deriving from what is indicated in this article, the entrant undertakes to compensate the Organising Committee and the Organisation.

The subscriber also undertakes to indemnify the Organising Committee and the Organisation in the event of damage to the image and reputation of the event as a whole, of the Organising Committee and the Organisation, resulting from the subscriber's behaviour that does not comply with the rules of these regulations and with the spirit of the event.

 

Article 11: SIGNATURE AND AUTHORISATION OF PERSONAL DATA

By submitting the registration form online or by email by signing the appropriate form, the participant expressly declares, under his/her own responsibility, that he/she has  a medical certificate in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of 18.02.1982, has third party liability insurance and has read these regulations, accepting them unconditionally in every point, and expresses his/her consent to the use of his/her personal data in accordance with Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

By use/processing of personal data is meant any operation or set of operations concerning the collection, recording, organisation, storage, consultation, processing, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, distribution of data, even if not registered in a database in accordance with art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.

Each participant has the right to exercise access to his/her personal data, as well as to obtain information about his/her data; to ask for their deletion, blocking, updating, rectification, integration, and to oppose the processing of his data, by contacting the Organising Committee, with head office in Via Gramsci, 25, 56045 Pomarance (PI), as the data controller.

By sending the registration form online or by email with the signing of the appropriate form, the participant also expresses his/her consent, so that any photos, videos, audio - and/or video recordings, of any kind and type, which portray/reproduce him/her, produced during the event, may be freely memorised, reproduced, published and marketed by the Organising Committee, the Organisation and the sponsors, without any right to any related compensation and/or indemnity. In particular, the participant expressly authorises the Organising Committee, the Organisation and the sponsors, together with the relevant media partners, to use the still or moving images that may depict him/her during his/her participation in the Competition, on all media, including promotional and/or advertising materials. The participant agrees that such data and related material may be made available to professional photographers and/or photo studios specifically appointed by the organisation for the production of photographic services on the Competition.

 

art. 12: COMPETENT COURT

For disputes arising from the application and interpretation of these regulations, the Court of Pisa shall have jurisdiction.

False self-certification will be prosecuted according to law.
